Eva + Michael | Biddeford Pool, Maine | Oceanfront Wedding |

Updated: May 29, 2019

Eva and Michael got married on the coast of Southern Maine on a really beautiful, sunny day. They rented a home and got married on the land, partied in the barn, and then ended with a bonfire in the back yard.

These two met in the mid-west through OK Cupid because Michael noticed that Eva was also from New Hampshire. After chatting casually, he invited her out to a vegetarian cafe. Eva says that she immediately knew he was the one because of that restaurant choice - even though he started up conversation with his therapist voice ;)

These two go together like bread and butter, which you can see in action when you scroll down and see that Eva brought a pair of turkey wraps to the first look and they ate them with wrapped arms like someone may do a champaign toast. They cracked up, I cracked up, it was amazing.

These two have an amazing style that is a little vintage, a little eclectic, and super modern in the way that wraps tradition into the present. You can see this culminate in their wedding rings! Eva's engagement ring is an heirloom, but her band is a new, dainty, and organic, while Michael's is a modern but raw piece of artwork. Seriously, their jewelry style is awesome!

They walked down the aisle together, a powerful statement that I loved watching, and then they called out to their corgi, Zelda, who zoomed across a big lawn and didn't even trip and roll once! The girl's fast! The family and friends in attendance blessed the rings with their love as they went through the crowd attached to an herb bundle grown by a family friend. They had probably the coolest caterer in town - check out the ample food pics below - and the rest of their wedding was filled with independent artists from across the globe. I am ALL about supporting local artists, follow their lead! Also, these two cut out the single use utensils and plates by providing bamboo and natural leaf fiber alternatives. Cute, durable, and earth-friendly - YAS.

The following Q&A explains them well. . .

Each of you, what is your favorite quirk about the other?

Michael: Every single night before bed, Eva asks what the high and low of my day is. She's done this since we first met, and I had never had anyone ever ask that.

Eva: How do I say this... Michael is a psychologist who loves poop jokes.
