Julie and Anthony brought their closest family and friends to Kennebunkport, Maine for their wedding! Julie's been vacationing there for years, and it's also where Anthony proposed to her! I am so honored to be able to share these kinds of milestones with clients - have I mentioned that being a wedding photographer is the coolest job? Scroll on to learn about the couple, their day, the Kennebunkport venue, and to see the fun wedding photography!
In my questionnaires, I love to ask the couple fun questions. This is a little excerpt about their favorite dates together:
"Our most favorite [place] is Kennebunkport. This is where we got engaged and it has become our 'special place'. It was around the holidays with snow on the ground. Anthony made a reservation at 'Ocean' restaurant (which has become one of our favorite spots) which offers the best panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean (also a nice view to Walkers Point). We were in the corner spot and about halfway thru dinner Anthony got on one knee. A recent fun memory was Julie's birthday last year. We both love the water and spent the day on a catamaran in Westport, CT and had dinner at the Pearl restaurant overlooking the water. We are big oyster lovers and had plenty of oysters and champagne to celebrate."
These invitations and paper products were created by Caitlin Spaulding of Wouldn't It Be Lovely wedding invitations and are the perfect invitation for a destination wedding to Maine! I'm a big fan of custom art on the invitations and these are fab. This gown is an Elizabeth Johns Couture design and the dainty little flowers on the bodice were the perfect detail for Julie's look. Hair and makeup were by Jade Woods and Katie Gore from Ollo Salon in Portland - I work with Jade for many other projects, including domestic violence awareness projects, bad-ass portraiture, and my own travesty of a hair situation. She's amazing, go check her out and book a hair cut or hair coloring in Portland, ME!
Flowers for this wedding were provided by Reg Carey of Downeast Flowers, and the cake is from Let Them Eat Cake! I didn't have a taste of the cake, but just look at that thing! It's absolute perfection. Rentals came from Details Event Staging in Kennebunkport, including the fun clear chairs! The heat lamps (needed for spring or fall weddings in Maine) came from Savvy Event Rentals, and I was super happy to see them (I'm always freezing). The adorable little Maine maple syrup favors came from Ben's Maple Syrup and I totally recommend these as favors for any type of celebration!
The wedding was held at The Breakwater Inn, a spot in Kennebunkport that offers in-house catering and a l
