Spring Mini Sessions | Maine Family Photographer | Hansel's Orchard, Yarmouth, Maine

It's officially spring here in Maine and the cherry blossoms, tulips, and purple, and yellow blooms are all out! I love this time of year, it makes for the dreamiest photographs!

What hasn't bloomed yet are the apple trees, which produce thick, white blooms that fill the orchard field. My favorite apple orchard in North Yarmouth, Hansel's Orchard, is where we'll be hosting this spring's Mini-Session event! It is great for families, for kids, for a maternity session, or for couples!

If you're interested in booking a spot at our Maine kids photography mini-session event, RSVP on the Mini-Session page! You can also view the event and share with your friends on our Facebook page.

Each Mini-Session is $300 and includes a $200 credit to put towards a fine art album, canvas wall art, or a print box! There will be a tea party set available for little babies and a stool for kids to sit on. We have a limited wardrobe available, mostly for little girls, boys under 2, and women including pregnant women. Check out some of those options on our kids photography portfolio and the maternity photography portfolio (most dresses are available). We can rent clothing for you and your kids if you book at least 2 weeks ahead of time. You may visit us at the studio for a consultation to chose your looks so I can help coordinate your family members!

My goal as your photographer isn't just to take photographs and be done, it's to take photographs, and put them into an archival form that is perfect for your home. This includes having in person ordering at your home or my studio, it includes creating wall art mock-ups so we know exactly the perfect sizes for you, and it even includes wall art installation if you're buying a display and don't want to do it yourself. Especially for kids, it is more important now than ever to make sure we put our kids portraits on the walls so they can be proud of their family, and be reminded of how much they are loved. That's my job, and that's why these mini sessions are built to result in art purchases, not just digital delivery.

Who's with me?

What's even better, we're making this Mini-Session a benefit for Maine Needs, which you can learn about on their Facebook page. Maine Needs is an organization helping immigrants settle into their apartments by providing basic needs like cleaning kits, toys and books, and clothing for new families. Maine Needs is part of Neighbors in Need, a broader organization encompassing many others throughout the state. Learn about them on their website and join the Facebook Group!

Maine Needs is looking for specific items that are the most needed by new arrivals to our state. For this Mini-Session, we're gifting a free, mounted, deckled edge 8x10 print to each family who brings one of the following items to donate to Maine Needs!

1) Toiletry and Cleaning Supplies. Visit this link and purchase whichever items from the wishlist you'd like (note that the value of a mounted, deckled edge print is $60+). Mark them as purchased, and have them shipped to Angela (obtain her address by joining the FB group).

2) Kids Clothing. Bring a reusable shopping bag or a trash bag of new kids underwear and socks in various sizes, as well as any new or gently used kids clothing (washed, folded and sorted) to the session and I will deliver them to their appropriate drop off location for you.

3) Strollers, Baby Carriers, and other Baby Gear. These are in high demand, so if you have any of these items left over from your baby that are still in good condition, get in touch and we'll schedule a time to get them to the appropriate location. Please don't bring these to the session, I only have an electric car with little trunk space!

4) Toys and Books. Go through your home and your kid's rooms before the session and gather up all of the good quality toys and books that can be donated to new Maine families. Bring me a good, medium sized box to donate, and you'll get a free print! If you have more, please contact me ahead of time so we can arrange delivery. Please do not bring stuffed animals or any toys that have been chewed on or destroyed over time.

If you can bring me any of the four options or show me a receipt if you're opting for the first option, then you'll get a free print of your choice after the session :)
