Andrew and Michelle have been together for a while, as his dad said in his speech, "Andrew isn't one to make rash decisions." After seven years of building a life together, they realized that their life paths were similar, that their futures fit together. So, they decided to take the next step and make it official!
They wedding was in Yarmouth, Maine, a place that is pretty central to their lives. Originally it was going to be in town, the perfect old coastal Maine town wedding. However, the annual Clam Festival (which is huge and encompasses the entire town, people lock their parade chairs to the street like a week before) landed right on their wedding date, so they had to scramble fast to find a new place. They settled on the Cousin's Island Chapel, which is a beautiful, classic and old church on Cousin's Island for the ceremony. The reception was held at the Portland Club in Portland, ME. Amy with The Black Tie Co was the wedding planer, and thank goodness because going through all of this without a planner would send anyone's stress levels through the roof!
Their stationary products are some of my favorite this year, with incredible watercolor work that is so truly Maine coast. Ellen from El's Cards did them, check her out!. Hair and Makeup were both done by Jaelynn from Bei Capelli. The delicate lace dress is from Blush Bridal in Bangor, and the bridal shoes were comfy - and beautiful - flats, because comfort is everything, eh? Their stunning and classic rings come from Brown Goldsmiths.
These stunning flowers are from Poppies and Twine. Catering was also the Black Tie Co, Brucemus was the DJ (and might I add that his music selection was impeccable), and the reception centerpieces came from Skillins.
